Recipe: Double or Nothing
These flavor-packed tidbits of Smokey Joe's kosher bacon and sausage will be a huge hit at your next party or on the dinner table. They are protein-packed, gluten-free and, best of all, are incredibly fast and easy to prepare.
1 package Smokey Joe's Kosher Kielbasa Sausage or Spicy Kill-Ya-Basa Sausage
1 package Smokey Joe's Kosher Bacon
1/2 c mustard
1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c pure maple syrup
Let bacon sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. This will make it easier to separate the slices.
Mix the mustard, brown sugar and maple syrup. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut sausage into thumbnail-sized rounds, about 8 or 9 per piece.
Separate bacon slices. Cut each in half lengthwise.
Roll each piece of sausage in a half-slice of bacon and place on a sheet pan.
Bake at 375 for 8 minutes. Remove pan from oven and spoon a dollop of the maple-mustard sauce on each piece. Return to oven for 2 more minutes, and enjoy!
